Have been to la Madeleine many times. Good food, good service, good atmosphere. Today, however, less than thrilling. Had to wait several minutes to order, many more minutes to receive my order after I was seated, and the food was cold. Scrambled eggs were burned, bacon was cold, avocado toast was soggy. Not up to the usual standards, by any means. Perhaps the staff was just having a bad day. I’m hoping for return to their usual excellence on my next visit.
